Our Story In A 5 Minute Video

We were offered the opportunity to do a video with our wedding Videographers about how we met and our life up to the point of the engagement. We thought this would be a nice thing to do and it meant we got to ‘try before buying’ our Videographers which is always a good thing. We were so happy to receive back such a lovely made video that was a romanticised version of our story (minus the arguments and other stuff you wouldn’t want to see). If you manage to follow the story you will be able to work out that I met him in a bar (me the customer, him the barman)…

Rose Gold Bridesmaids On A Budget

It seems that Rose Gold is really in at the moment and has been for a little while now. But as well as that colour being popular for weddings, it is also popular for sequins to be added to the equation. One of the most popular bridesmaid dresses I have seen popping up is the sequin dresses! There are lots of variations on the style but usually they are long, to the floor, slinky and rather sexy dresses that are covered completely in sequins. For good quality ones you can pay a lot of money for them and sometimes the dresses can be rather uncomfortable and scratchy, so you don’t…

I Won My Wedding Dress!! #Modeca Bride

I am absolutely delighted to announce that I won my dream wedding dress! That means a designer wedding dress, all paid for that I got to choose! I am obviously so unbelievably excited by this and even now, 2 months later since finding out I still scream a little inside! You are probably thinking, what undignified task did I have to do to win such an amazing prize….Sing a song, write a sob story, answer some difficult questions? Nope, I just filled in a form online that took less than a minute! The competition was on a site for the fabulous wedding magazine called Love Our Wedding. I got to choose…

    Our Beautiful Save The Dates!

Lots of people think save the dates are unnecessary with sending out invitations for the Wedding. I tend to agree if you can send the invites out in enough time but sometimes they are a good idea to buy you a bit more time. We got engaged in September 2016 and we booked our wedding for summer (during the summer hols) in 2017. That means we already had less than a year to start planning the wedding. As soon as we sorted our venue and date, I decided letting people know as soon as possible before they book holidays was a good idea. We couldn’t send out invites yet as…

    A Super Cool Groomsman Proposal

So, I wanted to do something a bit special to ask my Groomsmen if they’d be a part of the wedding. I’d seen something like this before whether it be a bottle of whiskey or some kind of token of appreciation. I really liked the idea of having their names engraved on a hip flask. My reasons for this were twofold; one because it’s a nice reminder of the day, having their name, title and date of the wedding on it. And two, because now that I went to the expense of having their names engraved into something, it would make it really difficult for them to say no. They…

    Our Engagement Party!!!

I have finally managed to get round to uploading all of the photos from our engagement party! It has been a busy few months since we got engaged in September and it’s already coming up to Christmas!! We managed to fit in our engagement party however and it really was such a lovely occasion. We ended up having two parties in one day which was fun and exhausting to say the least! We struggled to find something that suited everyone as we had to think about family (mine live Durham way and Sie’s are in Newcastle), we had to think about kids and also work around friends. A lot of…
