The Kingslodge Inn (Durham) – Review
I was invited to try food at a pub/Hotel in Durham called The Kingslodge Inn. I live in Durham and I have to admit, it isn’t often that I get asked to review places so close to home. It is always Newcastle or somewhere further away in County Durham. I was so happy to discover that the Kingslodge Inn was roughly a 15 minute journey from my house! We only bought our home here in Durham a year ago so we are always still looking for places to go for food as a family. We decided to go the day after the Mr’s Birthday to carry on the celebrations and make the…

Scream Factory – Review
I am a big fan of Halloween however since having my son 3 years ago we no longer really celebrate it or do anything Halloween-ish because he was born on that day. Now the 31st October is just our son’s birthday to us and we want to keep it that way until he tells me he no longer wants a party and just wants to go trick or treating with friends…yes the thought already makes me want to cry. I always see photos of people dressed up and going to parties and although I am more than happy to be dedicating my full time to my little one at this…

Zapatista Burrito Bar Review
I have recently started reviewing local restaurants on my blog (many of which have branches in other areas). It’s not that I didn’t review them before it’s just that I didn’t have much time originally to actually go out and try the food. I am now however really enjoying the opportunity of trying new places and I love food so it is the perfect thing for me to review on here. Plus we all love a good photo of yummy food creations. I was invited to try Zapatista Burrito Bar in Newcastle, which I had never actually been to before. There are actually two branches in Newcastle and I was…

Fashion-Wholesalers.co.uk Review
If you have been following this blog for a while now then you will know that I love finding deals and bargains as a bit of a hobby. I do love to splash out and get the latest items but you can’t beat that amazing feeling of bagging a bargain. I dread buying clothes for myself because I am always changing size and one minute I feel like I have a whole new wardrobe and then the next minute I have nothing to wear. It’s expensive regularly buying clothes, especially since being a mum means that my clothes don’t last as long anymore. They either end up with pen, food…

Vax Dual Pro Advance Carpet Cleaner Review – AO.com
I am a regular reviewer for ao.com and I review the latest appliances/white goods from them. I was delighted to receive a new Vax carpet washer to review as I had been wanting one for a while. You can read my brief review below and watch the full review (and see it in action) in the vlog above! When I first took the product out of the box I was surprised to see just how much came with it. I thought to begin with that it looked really complicated but I soon realised that it was quite the opposite and very easy to set up and use. You could tell…

The Garage Spa VIP Open Evening
I was delighted when I was offered 2 tickets to a VIP event at The Garage Spa. I had never been before and had been dying to go after seeing photos and hearing so many good reviews. The Spa is a part of The Morritt Hotel in Barnard Castle and although the Hotel has been around for many years, the spa is rather new. The VIP event was to have a look around the spa and to also sample some of the treatments available. There was also canapes and lots of fizz floating about on the evening and there was the opportunity to purchase Germaine de Cappuccini skin care products…
