Becoming a mummy – The Blog Post I Never Published
I have been writing this blog post, since I basically had my son 3 years ago. It has taken me so long to write it because I just couldn’t find the words I wanted to say, and I also never felt completely confident to post it. Why I decided now was the right time,I really don’t know. I think seeing a few stories recently by other mums has inspired me to just finally post this! Most people when they talk about becoming a mum and how it affected them mentally think about this overwhelming love, and a need to protect your baby that develops. They talk about being emotional and…

2017…So Far
Yes we are only in to the first few weeks of 2017 but I feel so much has happened already. I totally wasn’t ready for the Christmas period to be over and to get back to reality but it had to happen eventually! 2016 really wasn’t my favourite year however there were lots of amazing things that did happen. The main event was getting engaged to the father of my beautiful boy whilst the two of us were away in Milan. Our trip to Milan was one I had won that year so I really did have some amazing things happen when I look back. I don’t really want to look…

Celebrating New Years Eve In Style
Some of you may have seen my brief live video of me on New Years eve. You may be thinking I have gone mad after seeing that video but it was actually a brilliant night! Normally I don’t do much for New Years Eve and my parents usually have a big party at theirs with lots of alcohol and food. With having Reid now and him being at a fun age we wanted to do something he would enjoy too. After having his 3rd Birthday party at Planet Leisure end of October, we absolutely loved the place and were excited to find out about their New Years party. The tickets…

Elf’s Christmas Wish – Gala Theatre
I was offered the opportunity to attend a Christmas show at the Gala Theatre today with my little man called Elf’s Christmas Wish. It is a charming and interactive introduction to theatre which engages the senses and inspires the imagination. It includes original music, movement and puppets and the simple storytelling is perfect for the under 5s to enjoy with their families at Christmas time. I decided that it sounded like a lovely thing to take my 3 year old to and that it would be good to prepare him for when he goes to see a pantomime later this month. The show was in the studio upstairs in the Gala theatre which…

A Magical Enchanted Christmas at Hardwick Hall
***Please note**** Enchanted Christmas is no longer running and the company behind this event closed down. ‘Believe Christmas’ is NOT the same event. Whilst yes it is at the same location with some of the same props it is run by a whole new company. The people running this company did work for the previous company who ran Enchanted Christmas before but this was with a big team, big budget and a lot more resources. Therefore please do not read this review with the idea that the new event will be the same. I cannot give any advice on what the new event will be like, no one can and…

Glamping in style
Anyone who knows me well will know how much I am not a fan of camping/roughing it! I hate bugs, creepy crawlies and I hate being cold. So you can imagine how much I was dreading staying in a wigwam in October! Basically It was my dad’s 50th in June and I struggled to know what to get him that was special. I knew he just wanted to spend time with me and I know he loves camping so I decided to bite the bullet and buy a voucher for us all to go, and put aside my dislike of it (on this one occasion). I thought we would plan…
