AO.com Tv advert – Behind the scenes
Most people will have seen the ao.com tv adverts by now featuring real ao.com customers telling a story about needing something new from a cooker to a vacuum cleaner. The most recent was a family whose cooker had broken at Christmas, so they ordered a new one from ao.com that arrived next day. You always watch these adverts and think, they must be done by actors or something, but nope, I now know that they genuinely do use their customers. Which I think is fantastic. I know this because as a customer of ao.com I received a generic email asking if I would like to put my family forward for their…

LOVE NICHE Fashion and Style Event
A lot of you may not know that I am based in Durham and I love supporting local businesses. With Newcastle being just a stone throw away and with me living there for 3 years up until recently, I do still consider Newcastle as my home. I really love being a blogger in the North East as there is so much going on here and the blogging events I get invited to are really exciting. I was recently invited to a fabulous event at a really nice new bar called Bonbar in Newcastle for the LOVE NICHE fashion and style event. The event showcased the latest A/W collection from LOVE NICHE…

Intu Metrocentre – Gateshead
The North East is full of many great places to visit with lots to see and do, one of the most popular being the huge shopping mall in Gateshead, the intu Metrocentre. It is the largest shopping mall in Europe at 2,093,000sq ft and if you walked past every shop front you would have walked 3.5 miles (who would have thought that shopping could be such a good work out!). So save the money you would spend on a gym membership a month and go shopping instead! The Intu Metrocentre has everything from an IMAX Odeon Cinema to a variety of popular reataurants such as Nandos, Zizzi, Pizza Express and of course…

Whitworth Hall Family Fun Day
It has been exceptionally busy these past few weeks for me and my family, to the point where it has been pretty stressful, exciting and emotional all at the same time. My partner Sie has been working hard as he works at my mum’s events company as an event manager and he has had a few events going on throughout August meaning pretty much not a single day off yet! He has also found himself working super late to try get everything done and has been working his butt off also actually managing the events on the weekends. I have also been super busy filming for a new tv series…

How to Have Fun This Summer Holiday Without Spending a Fortune
The Summer holidays for kids means fun and no school for 6 weeks. For parents however it can mean expensive trips out to keep them entertained and it can be hard to think of lots of things to do. The top attractions can be far too expensive and aside from your local freebies/cheap days out such as parks, museums and farms it really can be difficult to come up with other ideas. I have put together a list of fun things that should be available to most people depending on where they live and how far you can travel. Some great ways to go to some of the best attractions…

Supermummy Secrets Went to Comic Con!
On Sunday I attended this years Comic Con at the Metro Radio Arena. It was my first time going to the event and I have to admit I really didn’t know what to expect. I went with Simon from What Sie Says – Movie News and Reviews (aka the boyfriend) and his little helper Reid in the matching t-shirt (aka our son). I have to say, I had pretty high expectations for the event after seeing photos from past events all over the world and knew it was hugely popular. We had a nice family day out however It definitely wasn’t what I had…
